ATT SA replaced the former Ticino Tourism Board in 2015. Shareholders are the Canton, the 4 Regional Tourism Organisations and three trade associations (Hotelleriesuisse Ticino, Gastroticino and the Associazione Campeggi Ticinesi). ATT handles marketing activities to promote tourism in Ticino, coordinates tourism activities, and manages and develops supra-regional tourism projects.
Application
We handled the graphic and functional development of the hikeTicino app. It enables users to discover over 200 hiking itineraries on their smartphone along roads and trails across the canton. Users can find nearby itineraries via geolocation. Routes are presented with clear, simple fact sheets including distances, duration, difficulty, elevation profiles and tips. The sheets can be downloaded, viewed offline and shared.
We supported ATT in the graphic design of numerous printed materials, from brochures and flyers to posters and stickers. We also created supports for promotional material: from information totems to flyer holders.
Advertising
The launch of the new app included a promotional campaign managed across the entire canton. To promote hikeTicino, we produced F12 posters, A3 posters and targeted ads for public-transport users, from trains to buses.
